Riley's party was held in a Park .................the weather was Great even though it look very much like Rain ....Boy it saves having to clean a house after all the little ones have gone home ......Great idea Natalie and Lisa

These hexagon quilts above

have been made by ladies from both groups and their friends and these will go to Salvation Army Stillwaters Emergency Accommodation for Women in the building next door.

These quilts will be given later in the year along with about 65 Cuddle Cushions for the women who are usually quite traumatised and need to know that other women care about them and the cushions give them something to cuddle.

The quilts above

have been made by ladies from the two Salvation Army Corps. for the Salvation Army Fairhaven Rehabilitation Centre to be built at Mt. Tamborine. We are aiming to provide the new centre with 56 quilts by August. If any individual lady or group would like to donate a single bed quilt, or three, please feel free to do so as they will be very gratefully accepted.

My goodness after days.... on the Internet.... looking at patterns for little girls aprons.... sorting material .... ...............I finally completed my master piece............. I am very happy with the end result.....it took 1 complete day......... then 4 hours mucking around with the trim................
it would have been a lot less on the pocket ............and spotlights cash register...............if I purchase one...but after all that won't be a Grannie Original hey??????

When he was puppy we were 8 years younger..............the toilet training and the 4 meals a day the mop on the go all day with strong disinfectant................... what a lot of Wee & Poo this little tot has.......................but then you look into her eyes and just melt.............I know you get what you put into the little babe........& what rewards we will enjoy...................Wake up Jeniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii that's about 6 months time..................I must have been dreaming......................

What a Big Day it was for us......................Our Eldest Grandson Ed

turn 5 years old ..and living in Christchurch.................

Started school on his birthday..... as they do in New Zealand
oh where have the last 5 years gone.......

.............. I whispered in his little ear when he was only hours old..............

........... that we would be with him on this First day at school ..............................
Ed was born in the UK......................

so we are very lucky..................... That mum and dad decided to move to NZ
I look at him and think my goodness ..............

you are growing up so quickly............................

and Grannie is aging so Quick

also.............

..................but what little delights they are...

arrived on Saturday with Yuka's Brother & Wife for a Aussie B-B-Que at the farm....................

So what better

....than finding some old paling fence............ old table and drum.............

making a table under the Gum Trees ...............

They thought is was something special ...

We didn't see any rain.....not hot & gentle breeze...............

so it was just Perfect.................

After lunch we all

(8) adults and (1) small child
walk over the creek ,,started cleaning another paddock that has been unloved..........

I would say for years................

after a few hours and looking back at all the hard work................

we all felt very pleased...........................

I was going to complete the outside boarders on my crazy quilt...and yes its Finished ............

I displayed the quilt over the Lime tree

which has also plenty of fruit ...and my trusted Zac (Doberman Lawrence)
