The Community of Esk
need to give themselves a huge pat on the back

great day out

Street parade started 9.30
then my camera was clicking out of control
The Medieval Group

Later in the park a demonstration was given
by two little medieval mites…
I think they had real swords…
All the wonderful

And Soldiers
The sun was so warm after the last few cold mornings …..
When the parade return to the park
So many food stalls …
Church groups
ladies
must have baked all night …
we should not forget all the preparation that goes into making a successful day ….
And the entertainment
large stage most enjoyable
all sorts
… Singing….
Bush Poets ….
The Tent display
was very interesting
people taking part in the day……..
Slept in the park night before
Very interesting ….
If it was me I would be thinking about Mr Snake…….. as I think maybe one roaming around….

Jean In the Middle

What a Sad but Also Happy week

14Years

of Friendship With Jean A real lady

We Started

with a group of girls having monthly luncheons

taking turns at one and an others homes.
We discovered a special interest in stitching so a group was started.

Sharing ideas of many projects...

So I can see Jean each morning

looking for bargains in the shops....

Jean said the guest room will be ready.....

Under the unit block is a coffee shop

Brisbane Sales

Natalie & I arrived in Brisbane

This morning

Every shop having sales...School Holidays not large crowds really to be seen .....

Lincraft had a great sale in the wool section...

I must say they have the best display of wool ...

Every time I visit Brisbane that section is 1st on my Stops ....

We decided to have a early lunch....

So off to the original Shingle Inn...

Looking around for a seat a elderly lady had room at her table ....I ask if it was o.k. for us to sit with her...of Course Darling was her answer...Having such a

great conversation...

Her name was Ivy ...and next month she will be having her 93rd birthday...

Amazing shopping once a week at her age ...

In the middle of the city....She needed to go

to Woolworth's...So she ask if we could mind her parcels .....

I felt very privilege for Ivy to ask....As we all live

in a not so nice World...

From time to time.....She trusted us...

We Headed over to David Jones Sales once again...

Great Weather Great company & another Sewing Weekend

Last Thursday My Friend Robyn ....
we went to High school together.....
Arrived from WoY WoY (NSW) I was waiting @ Coolangatta airport .....

We headed off to Esk for 4 days Stitching....She was eager to learn Stash & Slash....

I was eager to do a new design call 1 + 2.... Quilt

I found and was interested on a Blog....... when Blog surfing last week .....

Very happy with the end result ......

Up early and by 8 am stitching each morning ....fire never out...To the point Robyn......... didn't know if she had hot flushes ..........or just hot from the fire ............Sometimes she look ill (Between you me and the Blog) I think it was the fire ....we also had time for 2 markets.....fabric shopping ...and on Sunday afternoon Robyn said.... teach me how to ride the trike...so I did ....and then she had a go on the ride on lawn mower...Then started doing the lawns ..what a champion Gal .......... The Mandarin Tree was loaded so we filed a bucket.....

we had lots of fun and laughs..........

A shame Robyn couldn't stay for the next weekend we are fencing oh well..................

Cant wait until next time Robyn !!!!!!!
